How to Tune Inverter on ZombieVerter VCU

Select the type of inverter/motor controller you're using. This is THE most important parameter — it configures CAN bus protocols, motor control algorithms, and sensor interfaces for your specific inverter.

📖 What Does It Do?

Select the type of inverter/motor controller you're using. This is THE most important parameter — it configures CAN bus protocols, motor control algorithms, and sensor interfaces for your specific inverter.

Don't know what inverter you have? Look at the brand/label on the large metal box connected between your battery pack and motor.

🔧 By Inverter Type

Leaf Gen1/2/3
  • Leaf Gen1 (1) — Original Nissan Leaf inverter w/ resolver. Most common DIY inverter.

    • Gen2 and Gen3 have integrated PDM (charger).

    GS450H
  • GS450H (2) — Lexus GS450h hybrid transmission. Contains 2 motors + gearbox in one unit.

    • Requires OilPump and Gear params below.

    OpenInverter
  • OpenInverter (4) — Johannes Huebner's OpenInverter control board. Runs its own param set.
    • Prius Gen3
  • Prius Gen3 (5) — Toyota Prius Gen3 inverter. Serial communication, not CAN.
    • Outlander
  • Outlander (6) — Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV front inverter.
  • RearOutlander (8) for dual-motor setups.
