Motor Control
How to Tune fslipmin on ZombieVerter VCU
Minimum slip frequency (induction motors). Sets creep torque.
📖 What Does It Do?
Minimum slip frequency (induction motors). Sets creep torque.
🎯 Recommended Values
Default value: 1
Valid range: 0.3 to 10
Tuning Strategy
Start with the default value and adjust in small increments. Monitor vehicle behavior after each change before making further adjustments.
💡 Tuning Tips
ONLY FOR INDUCTION MOTORS. Not used for PMSM/FOC.
CALCULATION: fslipmin = rated_freq - (polepairs × rated_RPM / 60)
Example: 4-pole motor, 1450 RPM at 50Hz → 50 - (2×1450/60) = 1.66 Hz
TYPICAL VALUES:
TUNE: adjust in ±0.1 Hz steps until car takes off smoothly from stop.

🔗 Related Parameters
Other parameters in the Motor Control category that work together with fslipmin:
fmax
HzMaximum motor frequency. RPM = fmax × 60 / polepairs.
boost
digVoltage at 0 RPM — controls starting torque. Higher = stronger launch.
fweak
HzField weakening start frequency. Above this, motor enters constant-power region.
numimp
pprSpeed sensor pulses per revolution.
polepairs
Motor pole pairs. CRITICAL — set this correctly for your motor.
fslipmax
HzMaximum slip frequency (induction motors). Sets full-throttle torque.
snsm
enumMotor temperature sensor type. Must match your motor's actual sensor.
encmode
enumEncoder/position sensor type. This is your motor's 'eyes' — it tells the inverter where the rotor is.
dirchrpm
rpmRPM below which direction change is allowed.
udcnom
VNominal DC link voltage. 0 = auto-calculate from actual bus voltage.
