Motor temperature sensor type. Must match your motor's actual sensor.

💡 Tuning Tips

Sensor types (values shifted by +10 in newer firmware):

0=None (no sensor), 1/11=KTY83, 2/12=KTY84 (default, most common), 3/13=PT1000,

4/14=NTC (generic), some firmwares support TeslaM3 by name.

COMMON SENSORS:

  • KTY83-xxx: Silicon PTC, -55°C to +175°C, common in European motors
  • KTY84-xxx: Silicon PTC, -55°C to +300°C, wide range, most common default
  • PT1000: Platinum RTD, 1000Ω at 0°C, very linear, common in Japanese motors (Leaf)
  • NTC: Cheap and common but very non-linear
  • WIRING:

  • 2-wire sensor (signal + GND). Polarity matters for KTY sensors (they're diodes).
  • Pull-up resistor to 3.3V required (value depends on sensor type).
  • TROUBLESHOOTING:

  • Reads 0 → sensor not connected or snsm=0 (None)
  • Reads nonsense → wrong sensor type, try adjacent values (11/12/13 vs 1/2/3)
  • Sensor maxed out → wiring fault or wrong pull-up resistor
  • For GS450H: tmpm comes from MG2 temp pins — unconnected = 6400 reading = throttle derated to 0!
